Classic Fly-in Wilderness Safari Experience
The 3 day Classic Fly-in Wilderness Safari Package allows you to explore the wonderful northern region of the Okavango Delta, famous for its large herds of Buffalo and prides of Lions. The open plains abound with antelope and the riverine forest is home to elusive Leopards. Herds of Elephants often pass through.
The focus at this camp is on water activities. Exciting trips in traditional canoes called makoros allow you to explore the tranquil channels of the Delta and see the local Hippo population, as well as Crocodiles and Lechwes.
Twice daily game drives in 4x4 vehicles take you further afield and to see many Buffalo, as well as large herds of Impala and Tsessebe. In the drier areas you may see Kudu and even catch a rare glimpse of Sable Antelope.
Day 1: Johannesburg – Maun – Okavango Delta
In the morning you will fly from Johannesburg to Maun, before catching a light aircraft into the northern Okavango Delta. Once you have arrived at camp and freshened up, you will enjoy a game viewing activity. This will either be a game drive or a gentle cruise in a traditional canoe called a makoro. These are led by highly experienced guides who will point out the different animals such as Hippo, Lechwe and Lion.
Day 2: Okavango Delta
A cup of tea or coffee in the early morning heralds the start of the day in the bush. You will set off on the morning’s game viewing activity, such as a bush walk where you will learn about the ecology of the region and its fascinating plants as well as track animals from Mongooses to Lions.
You will return to the bush lodge and enjoy a delectable brunch. In the afternoon after a high tea, you will head out on a game drive during which you might see Waterbuck, Lechwe and Wildebeest. Night game drives introduce you to the nocturnal scene in the Delta, when many animals, especially predators are active. These may be restricted at certain times of the year due to the flood, or the rains. The area is known for its Buffalo population and there are many predators in the area.
Day 3: Okavango Delta – Maun – Johannesburg
In the morning you will enjoy one final early morning game viewing activity before flying-out of the Okavango Delta to Maun. There you will catch your connecting flight back to Johannesburg.

This Botswana package is based on a 3 day fly-in to the northern Okavango Delta for 2 guests sharing en-suite accommodation. This package is all inclusive of scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.
The Rates are based on the high season price and may vary depending on the season and daily currency exchange rate. This Okavango safari can also be combined with a stay at Chobe National Park in Botswana.
