Days 1 & 2: Camp Okavango, Botswana

Upon your arrival in Maun, and after clearing Botswana customs and immigration, you will be met by a representative and assisted onto your scheduled charter flight to Camp Okavango. Enjoy this awesome bird's eye view of the Okavango Delta, taking very special memories and moments of Africa with you that will stay with you forever.

Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience. Camp Okavango's unashamed luxury blends with the Africa of old in the elegant thatch and lethaka main lodge buildings.

The dining room leads onto an expansive open-air patio for evenings around the open boma. Other lodge facilities include a cocktail bar, lounge, wildlife reference library, a secluded bird-viewing hide, shaded hammocks, a delightful sun deck and plunge pool for relaxing during the hot midday hours.

Camp Okavango accommodates only 24 guests in intimate exclusivity in East African-style safari tents individually situated on raised teak platforms with en-suite facilities and private sun decks. Days 3 - 5: Savute Safari Lodge, Botswana

After breakfast and your morning activity (if time allows) you will depart on a charter flight from Camp Okavango to Savute Safari Lodge. Savute Safari Lodge accommodates just 24 people in contemporary furnished twin-bedded luxury suites constructed of wood, thatch and glass, making them ideal for the hot and dry conditions. Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors set the lodge apart from typical Botswana safari accommodation.

Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with showers, 'his and hers' towel robes and tea and coffee making facilities combine to make Savute Safari Lodge an unforgettable experience.

Your stay at Savute Safari Lodge is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, local brand beverages, laundry service, scheduled game-viewing activities and park entry fees. Game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.

Days 6 & 7: Chobe Game Lodge, Botswana

After your morning game drive and breakfast (if time allows), you will depart Savute Safari Lodge on a scheduled charter flight to Kasane Airport. Upon your arrival in Kasane, and after clearing Botswana customs and immigration, you will be met by a safari representative and assisted onto your scheduled road transfer to Chobe Game Lodge.

The only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge is Botswana's premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park. The lodge can accommodate up to 100 people in total luxury, offering a choice of land or water activities and the most complete game experience in the Chobe area.

Game drives are conducted in open sided 4x4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility, while game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly maneuverable boats piloted by expert boatmen. The resident professional guides offer star gazing and guided walks within the game-fenced area.

Other facilities include a large swimming pool with terrace, a riverside boma area where traditional dancers perform, a business centre, a fully equipped conference room with seating for up to 90 people in cinema style, an internet office is available for those guests needing to keep in touch, a stylish bar with an outside terrace overlooking the Chobe River and a cigar bar with a champion sized billiard table. Chobe also has a reference library with lounge and terrace. Meals are catered for at the terrace restaurant overlooking the Chobe River.

Game drives are by open 4x4 safari vehicle, game viewing by motorboat or sunset cruises on the river cruiser the Mosi-oa-Tunya on the Chobe River. Stargazing and guided walks within the game-fenced area are also on offer.

Days 8: Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

After breakfast, you will be transferred via boat to the Kasane Jetty, where you will be met by a representative and transferred via road to Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe, Vic Falls. Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation in a gracious and secluded ambiance. The decor evokes a bygone era of adventure and the quest of discovery in Africa.

The hotel is ideally situated and is the closest to the Victoria Falls as well as the town centre. The National Park borders the front of property and wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns with the spray of the falls in the background.

Ilala Lodge offers 32 rooms - 24 twins, 6 doubles and 2 suites. All rooms have en-suite bathroom with separate shower, air-conditioning, overhead fan and satellite TV and are served early morning tea/coffee, fruit basket and homemade biscuits.

The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded a view of the spray of the falls. A warm welcome awaits you at the world class a la carte Palm Restaurant. Enjoy superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the gracious surrounds on your Southern Africa safari.

The Palm Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a comprehensive wine list and cocktails. Dining outside under the African night sky amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a romantic evening to be remembered.

Day 9: Depart

After breakfast (depending on your departure details), you will depart Ilala Lodge on a scheduled road transfer to Vic Falls Airport, in time for your flight back to Johannesburg International Airport.

All charters have been booked on a seat on charter basis. Due to the nature of travel in light aircraft, mainly because of safety and space concerns, baggage is restricted to 12 kilograms (26 pounds), per person. This baggage must be soft sided so to allow for it to be packed properly.

If you do have extra bags or have suitcases heavier than the specified allowance, please advise your travel consultant as soon as the booking is made so that the needed arrangements can be made for the baggage to be transferred or stored at an additional cost.
