Our 4 day Premium Fly-in Spirit of the Okavango package will take you into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Spoil yourself on your Botswana safari and enjoy exciting game viewing activities from game drives to water activities, there’s something for everyone.
This pretty area of the Delta has several different habitants which vary from open waterways and lagoons to dry Kalahari grasslands. Depending on annual flood waters you will enjoy trips in makoro canoes, boating, fishing and day and night game drives. The bush camp is surrounded by vast floodplains which provide some of the most dramatic scenery in Botswana.
A highlight of your Okavango tour will be receiving a soothing massage while gazing out at the water lily covered lagoon. Set out to explore the beautiful palm fringed islands nearby, where you may see some of the rarer inhabitants of the Delta.
Day 1: Johannesburg – Maun – Okavango Delta
You will start your Botswana safari by catching a flight from Johannesburg to Maun, where a light aircraft will take you to your bush camp in a remote location in the Okavango Delta. You will spend the next 2 nights at a comfortable bush camp which is situated in the area of deepwater channels and wide floodplains.
After a tasty light lunch, you’ll have time to settle in before the afternoon game activity. You may choose to do a boat cruise, or set out on a makoro ride through the channels and waterways, stopping on a scenic island for sundowners before returning to the bush camp for a sumptuous dinner.
Day 2: Okavango
The activities during your stay in the Delta will depend on the water levels but the majority will be water-based. You can decide to do a boat cruise or a makoro ride as these are a great ways to see Lechwe and the rare Sitatunga.
During times of low water, game drives will also be available; these allow you to explore further afield to see animals such as Buffalo and Elephant. Your safari guide will explain the intricacies of the Okavango to you and share some of the stories of his childhood. Guided walks onto the nearby islands will help you gain a fascinating insight into one of Earth's most pristine wilderness areas.
Day 3: Okavango Delta
After an early morning wake up call, you will head out on your morning game activity which will be followed by a tasty brunch. Afterwards you can relax with a wellness spa treatment, before the afternoon activity which may be another makoro ride or a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle.
After sundowners out in the Delta, you can enjoy a night game drive to try and see some of the nocturnal inhabitants of the Delta, such as Leopards or Genets. Return to camp and savour a delicious dinner. Drift off to sleep surrounded by the sounds and scents of the nocturnal creatures of the Delta.
Day 4: Okavango Delta – Maun - Johannesburg
In the morning you will enjoy an early morning game viewing activity before flying-out of the Okavango Delta to Maun for your connecting flight back to Johannesburg.

This luxury safari package is based on a 4 day fly-in to the centre of the Okavango for 2 guests sharing an en-suite tent. This Botswana package is all inclusive, with scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport. The Rates are based on the high season fee and may vary depending on the season and daily exchange rate. This Okavango package can also be combined with a stay at Chobe National Park, a stay in the Linyanti region, or the Central Kalahari in Botswana.
